👋 Hey there! I’m Michelle Tu. I love creating art, stories, and games (let’s not forget playing games too!) — all of these interests combined have led to the path I’m on today.

Michelle has been creating worlds with just a piece of paper and pencil since a very young age even without knowing it. She has always been surrounded by books and games (like Skyrim, Fallout: New Vegas, Fable, and Pokemon & Kirby games) and had an interest in fictional writing due to her dreaming of imaginary worlds. Realizing that game design was something she could major in, she applied to colleges in NY and eventually went on to attend Parsons where she met great professors working in the industry and friends whom she would create precious memories with while making games together.
However, she realized that her passion was more than just making games and writing - she wanted to build worlds and experiences that were unforgettable and would allow people to bond. She wanted to encapsulate worlds that didn't exist or could exist and games were, she deemed, the best medium to do it! After graduating, she went on to work remotely at a startup called The Verse where she thrived with this manifesto, conceptualizing different worlds, characters & their stories and formalizing systems based on real-life influences. She gained leadership skills, communicated in a small-scale group with distinct departments, wove the foundations of meta-verses with the concept of reincarnation, and wrote a heartfelt tale meant to showcase a character’s metamorphosis into their new, awakened self. Although she left after 2 years on the passion project, her journey did not stop there. She soon joined EGD Collective, working in a replication of an AAA Studio to create ‘Striking Hell’, a 3D hack-and-slash, platformer game where she worked on Level Design, Narrative Design, and Game Writing!
In her spare time, she likes to read Japanese comics & light novels, play competitive games with friends, and also jam to rhythm games like Osu! She also worked on a home decorating game with narrative aspects within three weeks for Waffle 6.0 with three other cool people!
